Key Findings
Groundwater on Bowen Island comes entirely from meteoric water (rain, snow, fog). The Islands Trust has developed aquifer conceptualization and groundwater recharge mapping projects to understand and protect groundwater resources. Next steps include protecting critical recharge areas, determining water balance, updating water allocation plans, and coordinating with partners.
