Map room

From scratched clay tablets to interactive satellite views, maps have always been powerful tools for making sense of the world. They can help us understand at a glance relationships that can take pages of text to describe. This page brings together all the stand-alone graphic maps in our collection. 

For map lovers there are other treasures to unearth in the Ecolibrary collection. Try an Advanced Search on the ‘Map Descriptions’ field and select ‘includes’ from the dropdown to the right of it. Then in the field to the right put in an area of interest, for example ‘grafton’. This will reveal any documents that contain maps that otherwise might not see the light of day.
